Muv Luv: Alternative was released by Age for PC in 2006 with an English Translation released once again by Amaterasu in September of 2011. Originally planned as the Sumika route in Unlimited but instead improved upon and released as an entire game three years later, it is the final instalment in the original trilogy and more menacing than anything that came before it. SO, let's get started.

ON QUANTUM PHYSICS, CHOMPING AND MUV LUV PART II
Unlimited was released alongside Extra for PC in 2003, with an English translation patch released once again via Amaterasu in July 2010. Unlocked upon completion of the Sumika and Meiya routes in Extra, it is the second instalment in the original Muv Luv trilogy and certainly where things finally start to get interesting.

ON QUANTUM PHYSICS, CHOMPING AND MUV LUV PART I
The news is out, and it's looking a bit iffy. Muv Luv is getting an anime adaptation courtesy of the same guy who brought us such steaming brown gems as Desert Punk and Rosario + Vampire. Thankfully, this isn't the original Visual Novel trilogy and mecha fan favourite. No, this adaptation will concern the spinoff manga Total Eclipse. You might say we've dodged a bullet in a way, but I'm still a bit disappointed. If there's one Visual Novel series that deserves a proper anime adaptation and would most likely destroy everything for the next half decade, it's the Muv Luv trilogy. The clock is ticking, and there isn't much time left before TE airs in Area 11 July 1st, taking over Aquarion EVOL's newly vacated 1.30am timeslot. Over the next few days I'm going to review the original trilogy and in the process hopefully answer why it's garnered such a loyal fanbase. Let's begin!

INFINITE RYVIUS
I intended this blog to be a sort of venting platform above anything else, but while I'm here killing time until the Summer season truly kicks off, that is when Muv Luv: Total Eclipse, Geass OVAs and Rinne no Lagrange 2 begin airing, I might just entertain myself by talking about an apparently little known series from 1999. Infinite Ryvius is it's name, and it's likely the best sci-fi anime you've never seen, and probably better than all the ones you have.
